Wishing again...

Early this morning, I got a text from a friend saying that she's pregnant! Woohoo! There are 3 of them now.  Are there any mother to be gift ideas you could suggest? I hope I'm next in line. You see, a fervent plea or wish of mine is to conceive and bear a child. I tend to get emotional at times most especially when friends tell me that the'yre pregnant. Some would say that there's no need to rush. But I would say, "Hey, I'm not getting any younger. My biological clock is ticking!" I know that the time will come. When will my long wait end?

Saturday 9: Sweet Soul Music

1. Do you listen to music at work, and if so, do you use a mp3 player, play it through your office computer, or do you listen to it collectively via a separate radio you keep nearby? * Yes, I do. Only if I get extra time in between the workload that I have. You see, being a Quality Analyst in the call center environment, our headsets are already a part of our body as soon as we hit our tables. I have music stored in the office computer, some thru my mobile phone.

2. Tell us something about people that you absolutely hate. * As my FB account reads: " I am wishing that SOME people would understand that: IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU!! * I hate conceited, self-centered people. It's as if they own the world, they are the best, and have lots of money to buy gold and everything they want. Show some HUMILITY, please?

3. What is something someone has done that you'd like the world to know about? Hmmmm... that my parents has taught my brother and I to be humble at all times. (Related to Q2... does it seem that I'm really pissed?)

4. Where is your favorite place to sit when at home? Here. In front of my laptop.

5. How did you come up with the title of your blog? I started blogging when I got engaged in 2005. Changed the title of my blog when I got married in 2006. Being married, and being a wife... that's how The Wifey Diaries came up to be.

6. Tell us about the one who got away. * No, thank you.

7. Have you ever had a big birthday party? * Yes, when I turned 7 and 13 years old. My parents wanted another one when I turned 18, but I turned their offer down, and decided to just spend it with them and a few of my closest friends. Of course, I also requested for a gift. Haha.

8. What was the biggest bash you've ever attended? None yet, so far. Boring? Naaah... Only not into it.

9. With my kids and an always changing life, I find myself sometimes unable to focus! Do you have that problem, too? * No kids yet, but yes, I often find myself unable to focus. :P

Save up!

Browsing throught the website femalenetwork.com , the Work and Money feature caught my attention. Aptly titled Tipid-Tipid Muna, Misis: 9 Tips for Saving More and Spending Less, I believe that there is no need for anyone who follows these tips to take payday advance loans. I believe in the power of saving. I believe in every word written in the article. In this day and age, one has to really save up for the future. At least, learn how to handle your finances. I am not saying that I am good at that. I, too, have to learn how to save. I have saved a little but won't last me til I retire (retirement at this age?!?!?). I am more determined to focus on that right now. It actually is part of my 2011 goal. I am positive that as the year ends, I will have another item on my list ticked off.

Seafood Sunday...

The husband and I had our bonding moment with food (again!) at Seaside Paluto along Daang Hari Road. Whenever we go to Tagaytay, we always pass by this road as it is easier for us to travel thru this route to avoid the traffic. And as we traverse the long road, we always see the colorful swooper flags with almost all the restaurants in the area.

As you all know, our Sundays are spent by having lunch at my parents place right after mass. During that lazy afternoon, we started to crave for shrimps. Then we both had Seaside Paluto in mind. We wanted to give it a try, and see if there would be any difference. Hehe. Well, actually, there isn't. Same old names of stores/restaurants. Same menu. Different prices though, IMO. What I love is the coziness of the place and the bands that played during the time we were there.

Gorilla -feet no more!

The Husband got his wish. Ever since he laid his eyes on the shoes a man we saw at the mall was wearing, he can't help but nag that he wants one too. After doing his own research he was able to find a store here in the Philippines. Say hello to Vibram Fivefingers ! Its very first store opened in Rockwell, Makati, then in Trinoma, and Mall of Asia. At first I felt awkward seeing him wear it. I was thinking that I was walking side by side with my husband with gorilla-looking feet! But it's gorilla-feet no more. In fact I plan to buy one too. The husband has his own way of luring me to buy one. Reading the benefits of owning a pair, I'm gonna save up for it. Durable, light weight, and comfy - that's according to my hubby.

His pair
This pair has been tried and tested - driving, walking, running, jogging, gym, swimming, practically everything. Will it go well with the medical scrubs passed on to me by a friend? I believe so coz she uses a pair for women while on duty as a nurse.
